Holiday Park

Family fun for a couple of hours. Park has a large Playground including climbing tower, lots of swings and shaded picnic area.
Colee Hammock Park
Location: 1500 Brickell Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
Park offers a nice scenic green outdoor space right at the New River waterway. Good for a nice picnic while you watch boats go by.
Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science
Location: The Museum is located in the Arts & Science District, across from Riverwalk's Esplanade Park and the BrowardCenter for the Performing Arts in downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The museum offers a large variety of kids activities, play area, sciences area, animal exhibits etc.
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park
Location: 3109 East Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Phone: 954-564-4521
Visitors can rent canoes and paddle along a mile-long freshwater lagoon or fish from the seawall. Nature lovers can hike along two short trails and bicyclists and skaters can glide along the paved park roads. Visitors can also access the beach via the pedestrian tunnel under A1A.
Tradewinds Park

The park is more interesting on Saturdays and Sundays when they offer pony and train rides. They also have a nice playground there.
For kids 9 years and older they offer also trail rides.
